COMMUNITY CARE

Community Care holds the work HF does to support the broader needs of the community. This includes caring for the disabled and elderly, supporting community sanitation, helping families through practical needs, and encouraging community-wide participation in sustainable change.

Many community issues cannot be solved by one person, one family, or one event. HF works to gather people together, honor those who are often overlooked, and help the community move toward sustainable change through shared responsibility and practical love.

WHAT WE DO

Community Care is anchored in Rod and Staff, HF’s first ministry established in 2015, which serves disabled and elderly community members who are often overlooked, isolated, or forgotten. Through this ministry, we provide weekly fellowship that offers belonging, encouragement, and consistent care to those we serve. Over the years, we have also provided practical support including access to healthcare, education assistance, housing support, food aid, and help with school placement for children within these families.

We create joyful and dignified spaces through activities such as jewelry-making, crafts, shared meals, and meaningful fellowship that restore dignity and connection. In addition, we lead community sanitation efforts such as the annual Akua Cleans Up initiative, which mobilizes hundreds of children and community members to take responsibility for their environment. Our work is rooted in encouraging communal participation in solving communal challenges, combining education, practical help, and long-term support to foster sustainable transformation.

IMPACT IN ACTION

  • Rod and Staff has provided fellowship, dignity, and support for disabled and elderly community members since 2015.

  • Annual community clean-up efforts gather hundreds of children to participate in caring for their own community.

  • In 2025, HF hosted an Akua Cleans Pakro celebration that fed more than 1,000 youth and children.

  • Christmas outreach supported Rod and Staff through home repairs, medical expense coverage, and practical care.

Faith in Action & How You Can Partner

Community Care reflects the heart of Jesus toward those who are often unseen. At Heartfull Foundation, we believe love must be visible through presence, fellowship, dignity, and practical support. Through every gathering, outreach, clean-up effort, and act of care, we seek to serve people in meaningful and lasting ways.

You can partner with this work by giving toward this area of impact, praying for the people served and the leaders carrying out the work, sharing the mission with friends, churches, and potential partners, or volunteering, donating supplies, and joining a mission team when opportunities are available.
